Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Tutone
Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Tutone:
I was waiting patiently for a cat to come in that fit this moniker; no, I didn't spell his name incorrectly:) Obviously he IS two-toned, but that isn't the only reason he was named after one my favorite 80's songs, but because I was the only one our friends at WAG could turn to when they needed help placing this fabulous FIV guy! What can I say, I am totally stuck in the music of my youth!
On February 9th I got another email requesting help for two kitties that the Wyandotte Animal Group had taken in, but couldn't place as they were FIV-positive. It took almost 2 months before I could happily tell Cindy she could make the trip across the state, but we were finally able to open the doors to our sanctuary on April 5th, 2012.
Born in late December, 2007 I would guesstimate, this bi-colored beauty has more energy bottled up inside of his body than any 10-pound adult cat should. (Just kidding, we LOVE this about him!) He is fast to make friends, feline and human, has no fear of new situations, tackles every fresh task with vigor and vitality (you know, like clean litter boxes, fresh laundry) and steals hearts with the ease of seasoned cat burglar every chance he gets! How he ended up homeless on the east side of the state is boggling to my mind, but I am thrilled that we are the beneficiaries of this crazy cat's awesomeness! He is as agile and mobile as a kitten, yet when he does want to hunker down and be loved, he is all yours for the snuggling! I know I tend to gush on and on about these cats, but I am honest with my descriptions; and if I don't speak up for our wonderful creatures, how will you be enticed to come on down and meet them for yourself?? So, what are you waiting for - you read his bio, now come witness the whimsy of Tutone!
