Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Sunshyne

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Sunshyne:

Sweet and unassuming Sunshyne is one large Marge! Born in September of 2004, she was initially a sickly Crash Kitten back in that same year whose eye I had to remove due to infection. One of our volunteers at that time fell head over heels in love with this one-eyed wonder and took her home, where she lived blissfully for almost 5 years. Then her living situation changed dramatically and poor Sunshyne was feeling crowded, stressed and beside herself, so it was decided it would be best to take her back into Crash's for awhile, see how she does, and then find her a home of her own with less chaos, commotion, kids and cats.

Since her grand re-arrival on 8-15-11, Sunshyne has been nothing but that - a total ray of light. She now gets along well with the others. She is quite a snuggler and actually a very fine lap cat — you just need a sturdy lap to accommodate all of her robustness!

I really appreciate the fact that an adopter knew her current household living situation was not right for her cat, and even though it meant giving her up, it was in hopes of finding her a home that she could blossom in.
