Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Mason

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Mason:

Magnificent. Marvelous. Manly. Yes, cats can be manly. And studly. And Mason is all of the above. He had a really rough start when he was first a Crash Cat back in the summer of 2006; he was all male, a fighter and none too pleased about having to be indoors. Fast-forward to almost 6 years later, and the fine fellow has mellowed; in fact, he became so docile and gentle that he was adopted out by a lovely older couple who doted on him for over three years. But, when they had to move in with their children, Mason wasn't really part of the plan, even though he hung tight for awhile, he ultimately needed to come back to us. No worries though, as he waltzed right in, took his spot on a windowsill and promptly took a nap (moving can be so exhausting!) Now he was in pretty good shape when he came back to us, except for having a canine tooth that needed extracting; he did need to put on a bit of weight, which he also promptly set out to do. He is such a gentleman now, having matured into a wonderful cat who loves nothing more than to be the center of quiet, yet unwavering, attention. He gets along famously well with the other cats here at Crash's, but I think having been the only cat in a household of adults spoiled him a bit. So, I am going to do my very best to land Mason a home again soon! He is quite charming and yet still quite playful and inquisitive when the situation calls for it. In fact many of you may remember our campaign to promote our poker events years ago featured a very talented Mason running the card table with a cool yet fair paw; he is quite the jack of all trades it appears: card shark, windowsill sitter and birdwatcher, lap warmer and handsome hunk all rolled into one. Doesn't seem like you can get any better than this well-rounded cat!
