Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Luella Giselle

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Luella Giselle:

Lovely and sassy lass Luella Giselle (born in February of 2006) was found by one of our volunteers in August of 2008, as she kept running back and forth across Diamond St. near Michigan, and then sauntering up into her back yard for some R and R. Sandy then discovered that her neighbor had seen her out and about most of the summer, so they decided she needed to come in and quick before anything happened to her. Well, she is sporting a spay scar on her belly, which is a good sign, but no one put up signs to claim her, so she became ours!
Luella is a darling, affectionate cat who can be quite chatty if she wants, and likes to head butt and rub all over everything, making a photo shoot nearly impossible! She has petite features and a daintiness to her, and also a goofy streak, which makes her all the more endearing! But on the flip side, she can be rather independent and definitely knows what she wants; she is a tough cookie with a soft center:) She has tugged on the heartstrings of many who have come to visit, but for some reason or another, she always seems to get left behind. I am not sure if it is because she is black, bold and bossy... I have a feeling it is the latter of the two, but honestly, if you get her one-on-one and spend some time with her without 100+ other cats around, you will see why we happen to think she is quite something!
