Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Lucille
Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Lucille:
OMIGOSH! Cats just do NOT come any cuter than little lover girl Lucille here! Born in November of 2009, this darling and dainty lass came to us in May of 2011 by way of Focus on Ferals after she was trapped (and tame) in a feral colony over on Baxter and Eastern SE in Grand Rapids. Sadly, she tested positive for Feline Leukemia, but Gina kept her inside safe and warm and out of harms way until she became a Big Sid's Kid finally.
As cute as the proverbial button, this 7-1/2 pound pussycat is quite the little ball of energy! Don't let her small stature fool you because she can mix and mingle with the biggest of our cats at Big Sid's without batting a pretty eyelash! She really is quite a flirt though, always cozying up next to another feline for some good old fashioned cuddle time. And when a new cat is brought in to the mix, Lucille is one of the first ones there to greet the newcomer, showing him or her the ropes! It is comical to watch her flit and flutter about, making her presence known, making sure everything is in place and making friends along the way!
I would love to be able to bottle and sell the sheer joy and exuberance this cat has oozing from her pores; seriously, this is one of the happiest, silliest cats around! It took me all of two seconds to fall head over heels for her, and it looks like that is true for each and everyone Lucille comes into contact with!
