Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Liesl

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Liesl:

Liesl the Loud came to us by way of a Wyoming couple whose dogs kept scaring the poor little thing away as she tried to get closer and closer to a home that looked welcoming and pet-friendly. When Karlene Schmid saw this cat hanging around her neighborhood, or heard her crying in the tree near their yard, it darn near broke her heart; seeing her sitting on the fence looking longingly indoors just about did her in. So, armed with a can of tuna, having locked the protective pups up in the house, she set out to coax the kitty to her; it only took about 30 minutes to get her back into her good graces, and after only a short overnight stay in a darned dog crate, Liesl was brought in to me. :)
Little and lovely, weighing only 6.5 pounds (although I figure she was born in the summer of 2009), Liesl didn't let her small stature stop her from bellowing out just how big she was on the inside! No siree! She likes to tell anyone who will listen how she braved those dastardly doggies to make it to the safety of loving arms waiting to take her to a better place! She also likes to squawk on and on about life before being dumped off in that Wyoming neighborhood, though for the life of us, we can't quite make out what she is saying. Suffice it to say, though, she was none to pleased with her pre-Crash's existence; now she is happy as a clam, but in no way ready to clam up!
Kitties like this make me laugh at the sheer fact they have so much going on inside of them that they appear to be bursting at the seams to let it all out! Lovely, loud Liesl is going to make a fun and fab-u-lous feline friend for someone, as outgoing and outspoken as she is!
