Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Jammie

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Jammie:

When I emailed my friend Lindsey at Harbor Humane Society, back in the spring of 2011, to ask her if she had any cats that had been at their place for awhile that needed a chance with us, she was happy to report back that she did - and was she ever thankful we would be able to help. Seems that this rotund fella came in back in March of 2010 and had been sitting in a cage at various pet store locations the hopes of getting adopted, but to no avail. Super silly and very gentle for his size (he weighed in at over 13 pounds), I am not sure why no one took this big, beautiful boy home!
Born in March of 2009, Jammie got his name from me because I simply thought he was 'the cat's pajamas'! After having been cooped up for so long, I couldn't bear the thought of caging him again, so I set him up in a big run while at the clinic so he good stretch those legs and get some much needed exercise. He and next door neighbor Joey became fast friends; in fact I came in one morning to find that Joey had taken up residence in Jammie's bed, and he was just sitting there gazing at him with interest. It didn't take long before the two of them were sharing creature comforts, eating out of the same food dish and just generally chumming around!
Jammie gets along well with everyone so I really need to do him justice and find him a home with another cat who will keep him company, share his things, and maybe snooze the afternoon away with him. I think sitting alone in a cage for so long made him yearn for companionship and of course here at Crash's, we are able to provide that - and then some!
