Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Herman

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Herman:

In July of 2012 I received an email from a client who had been caring for a handful of strays around her Wyoming home for quite dome time. When a neutered and front declawed fella showed up in the woods behind her house, she knew he had recently been dumped off and was totally out of his element; he was being attacked by the other cats without any way to defend himself. He took shelter under her porch and Sandy took to looking after him, fattening him up and putting much needed weight on his then thin frame. He was introduced to her own cats and dogs on a few occasions and did really well; he was so super affectionate she wished she could have taken him in herself, but having a whole house full of pets herself put the kibosh on that idea. That didn't stop her from doting on him, nor did it stop her from crying the day she dropped him off at the clinic, as he wasn't there to greet her when she arrived home that night. But she was relieved beyond belief that he would not be in harms way any longer, and because of that, she could finally sleep without worry at night.
Born in the early spring of 2009 I am guessing, handsome Herman is definitely as affectionate and awesome as Sandy claimed him to be...and more!! From the minute he padded on out of the travel carrier and into my arms, I was totally enamored by and head-over-paws in love with him! He immediately stole the hearts of the staff at the vet clinic and the volunteers at Crash's, with his gentle, easy-going style, his attention-seeking antics and his lovesick puppy-dog routine that wins you over every time! In fact, you can't walk in the doors at our place without Herman being there to not only greet you, but to steal you away lest you get interested in doing something else other than paying attention to him!
I cannot fathom why anyone in their right mind would allow Herman out of their sight, but I can assure you all now that he will never be left to fend for himself again, and the next home he lands himself in will be a purr-manent, loving one fit for a king! (which he royally deserves!)
Thanks for taking time to find out more about our Crash Cats!!
