Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Ford Fur-lane

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Ford Fur-lane:

Well, in rescue here in town, we all work to help each other out, so when Jeanine from Reuben's Room called us because she had just picked up a wounded cat down the road from us (who was also being abused by neighborhood kids), I told her to bring him on down. Reuben's Room focuses on older, pre-owned cats who have nowhere else to go, whereas we focus on strays who have nowhere else to go.; it is a symbiotic relationship:)
Upon arrival, this handsome 21 month old fella (born in December of 2008 I think) certainly had a mouthful to say about how he was being treated; he had a resolving bite wound on his foreleg, raging diarrhea, was hungry and had fleas! And, since he got himself rescued on August 25th, 2010, Ford really hadn't shut up:)
Initially I thought the name fit because he was literally found in the road down on Clyde Park, but the more I got to know him, the more his name took on a double meaning; remember Andrew Dice Clay in the movie of the same name?? That dude NEVER stop complaining either:)
Ford is taking his time getting used to the other kitties, but is really enjoying all of the room service and TLC. If you like a talkative companion, Ford is the cat for you; he tells me he would really prefer to be the only cat in the household, so if you think you can arrange this for this previously mistreated fella, let me know!
Thanks for taking time to find out more about our Crash Cats!!
