Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Choppers
Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Choppers:
We initially took this handsome, albeit funny-looking fella into our program back in March of 2008, as a Cedar Springs woman had rescued him and a few others that were in dire need of help. Seems that someone (or something) took it upon themselves to chop off part of this boy's right ear; he wasn't part of our local TNR projects as he was an intact male when he was rescued. Although quirky in appearance, he was delightful in demeanor, and finally, in January of 2011, we found this fabulous fella (born in March of 2004) a home of his own. Sadly, in June of that same year, his new owner fell ill and was no longer able to care for him, so we gladly took him back on in.
Choppers had some extensive dental work done, so he is kind of short in the tooth department: that doesn't stop him from chomping and chowing down though! He waltzed right back into Crash's like he had never left, got reacquainted with some old furry friends, and set off to make new ones. I have no doubt that a new home is in store for him, as he is just so mellow and laid-back and has so much love to give! He adored nothing more than laying on the lap of his elderly owner, joining him for a snooze! We know life pre-rescue was not all fun and games for this guy, but he never held any grudges or had any issues; he is overall one of our faves!
