Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Chamomile

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Chamomile:

Art and Katie Koper from SW Grand Rapids sure do attract stray kitties like flies do honey! Their latest rescue was several months in the making, as the elusive Chamomile was first sighted this winter, along with her sister Turtle Dove who was rescued in December and has since been adopted, but just couldn't bring herself to let the Kopers bring her in. Finally this June, she gave in, and she finally became a Crash cat:) We guesstimate her to be about 3-4 years old (born in December of 2004), and what is strange about her is that she came to us fully front declawed and with a spay scar, but her sister was not. Hard to understand why people do what they do, but someone's loss has certainly been our gain.
Chamomile is as soft as silk and as sweet as tea once she warms up to you. Her months on the streets fending for herself had left her a bit wary, but the longer she is with us, the warmer she gets:) She will do best in a home without commotion, and perhaps without a boisterous pup, though another cat would suit her just fine.
