Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Big Boy

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Big Boy:

Sometimes a brazenly beautiful cat slips through the cracks at Harbor Humane Society and ends up staying put behind closed doors far longer than he should have. Such was the case with Big Boy, a bonafide chip off the old block. Born in November of 2004, he ended up at HHS in October on 2007, and sadly fell very ill sometime in 2008 with liver issues, though no records can be obtained. Luckily, he survived the ordeal none the worse for wear, but instead of being adopted out, he spent month after month in the office of one of the administrators. Finally, in May of 2011, we were asked to take him in as one of our own to better his chances at the life he so deserved, one of freedom and friends, laps and luxury, people and pets alike!
So we took this very fine fella in and immediately fell head over paws for him and his outgoing, uber-friendly manner. Having been cooped up for so long gives him such a lust for the fun in life and all that his surroundings have to offer; it is so much fun for us to sit back and watch him thoroughly enjoy himself exploring and excavating! I don't completely understand what goes on behind closed doors out there, but luckily, fabulous cats like Big Boy have my friends Lindsey and Heidi looking out for them, so that finally they are able to cross the threshold of Crash's and embark upon a journey that will lead them into homes of their own! And while they are with us we are going to spoil them beyond their wildest kitty dreams!
I would like to find Big Boy a home with lots to do, maybe a cat or two, some kids to romp and play with, and of course a house with lots of comfy beds to hunker down on when all is said and done and he has finally exhausted his seemingly limitless energy. :) After all, he certainly deserves all of this and more after 4 long years of being a shelter cat!
