Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Augustine

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Augustine:

When volunteer Stephanie Meaney came across this beauty in near Ideal Park in Wyoming on May 8th, 2010, she initially assumed he was a she, because he was so darn pretty (and there wasn't anything 'back there' if you catch my drift!) So we both had a little chuckle going on when I told her Augustine was indeed all boy:)
This handsome fella (born in February of 2008 we think) couldn't be cuter, more adventurous, friendlier and easy going than he already is. Seriously? Upon meeting his comrades at Big Sid's, he was ready to be out and about, moseying and mingling, versus taking his time acclimating in our Intake Room (nuts to that!) Yup, he tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) so he is now a Big Sid's Kid, but the gang was very welcoming, and the crew immediately fell head over heels for him; with such charm and purr-sonality, how could they not!
He came in infected with ear mites and sporting a bilateral ear infection, but we got that under control quite quickly. I am not sure why anyone in their right mind would let this saint of a cat go, but stranger things have happened, and their loss is our gain! He doesn't have a mean bone in his furry 11-pound body, so risk of transmission of the virus to a non-infected cat is minimal, which means he could easily be adopted!

Can't adopt, but still want to help? Find out how you can sponsor a cat!
