Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Amigo

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Amigo:

On Friday May 18th, 2012, one of our volunteers emailed me about a 'very nice and quirky-looking' cat that was dumped off at her work, C-SNIP. With a crooked bob-tail and 3 thumbs on each forepaw, this cat was a unique-looking fella that the staff immediately fell head-over-paws in love with! He got along famously well with their two resident cats as well as employee dogs, but there wasn't any way they could keep him at the facility, even though he would have made a fabulous greeter! Since he is a young guy (born in November of 2010 I am thinking), his energy level proved to be a bit much for the resident cats who are a bit more reserved and laid back:) So Liz (and Jackie) were thrilled when I said that Crash's would be happy to take on this ultra-friendly feline!
Well, let me tell you this: they were NOT kidding when they said he was quirky looking! With his long, lean legs, huge paws and tipped left ear, he paints quite an intriguing picture. And his personality is as big and bold as his thumbs are, making him quite a catch. He also is one of the most intensely outgoing, attention-grabbing, inquisitive cats I have met, which really is going to be a selling point adoption-wise. He will thrive in a house that is as busy and boisterous as he is, loving lots to do and having the time of his life doing it! He is not only exceptionally entertaining, but can entertain himself with ease. In fact, shortly after he arrived, one of our volunteers commented on how he reminded her of Goldilocks, hopping from cage to cage (open door policy) and bed to bed, trying everything on for size! He is one happy-go-lucky cat that for the life of me I can't imagine dumping off; seriously, Amigo is awesome!
