Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Alden Nash

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Alden Nash:

Folks out in the country tend to get their fair share of wayward, wandering feline souls so it wasn't a surprise when Deb Towner of Ionia emailed us this February to let us know she had a cat currently taking up residence in her garage with the mood struck him. Born in August of 2008 I guestimate, this fine fella was a filthy mess when he arrived, sporting several punctures and scratches on his forehead, a snotty nose and was all boy, if you catch my drift! After neutering, a nice warm, sudsy bath, antibiotics and a good work-up, Alden Nash turned out to be quite a hunk! He is also quite a nice boy who seems to get along very well with the other cats (our toms always seem to do so well once that testosterone influence is taken away!)
Now that his rambling days are over, Alden has settled into the routine of his new indoor, cushy, comfy life quite well. He is loving being able to lounge around cat napping the afternoon away, and thoroughly enjoys his twice-daily canned food tummy fill-ups! He is quite easy going and laid back, so I don't think we will have any problem adopting him out to someone who is looking for a sweet, gentle companion who has lots of love to give. And did I mention his cheeks? He has some really nice pinchable ones, being intact for all that time (gosh the fat-heads are cute!!)
