Our featured cat for The River's Purrfect Friday: Agent Jack

Here's what Dr. Jen had to say about Agent Jack:

In July of 2010, Seth Anderson discovered a handsome lookin' fella hanging out outside of his Wyoming apartment complex. Having an 'in' at the vet's office, he called his sister Tiffani, who relayed the message to me that he and his girlfriend were worried about the cat, who seemingly was abandoned. So, once we got an opening, we told them to bring him on in, and on July 19th, Agent Jack Bauer (shout out all you 'It's Always Sunny...In Philadelphia' fans) became our newest resident.
Full of energy and having lots to say, he appeared to be in very good shape for a (then) 4-year-old neutered fella, so I was surprised when Jack (born in the summer of 2006) tested positive for FIV. Usually these cats that test positive look like they have been put through the wringer, but on occasion we will get a well-groomed, non-wounded, unscarred kitty in that ends up going to live at our sanctuary.
At first I have to admit, I was a bit uneasy that Jack was going to prove to be a bit too big for his britches, but after a few days of getting acclimated to his new surroundings, he actually pleasantly surprised me when he hopped on out of his cage and only proceeded to hiss a wee bit upon some of the cats approaching him. Oh, he is still vocal and opinionated, but he has decided he LOVES his new indoor digs and especially the unlimited love and praise, food and human friendship bestowed upon him, so he is keeping himself on his best behavior:)
Thanks to Tiffani Duck for covering all of his initial intake fees and to Brooke McVay for paying his room and board monthly!
